The solar eclipse will take place on Wednesday, 22nd July. Those who cant get to see real thing can watch the live telecast on channel U at 8AM on that day itself, there is the highlights of it showing later at 11PM. So what makes this so special?
The last total eclipse was August 1, 2008. However, one thing different from all the previous years is that, this is the longest total solar eclipse that will occur in the 21st century. It will last for 6 minutes and 38.8 seconds. The next eclipse that is going to surpass this duration will be on June 13, 2132. Thats the next century already when I cant even see it.
Those that had never seen the whole process before and the formation of it, can catch it next week on channel U.
