Yesterday I worked for the longest number of hours for the first time, 13 HOURS!! This is because of the grand opening of great world city then all promoters and staffs have to reach the store by 9am, an hour before the store opens. My full timer aka shifu was late, he came at 1pm, ask me come so early. We gathered for a meeting as the manager was telling us how to manage the crowd later. There was a long queue of customers outside at 9am, when I step into the the store, I saw a long queue outside. All of them are queuing to get the iron and toster which each costed $5. It is like so cheap, an iron for $5 is like once a life time deal, no wonder so many queued to get it. At 10am before we start operating, the DJ shouted "Best Denki, are we ready?", then we have to shout back "READY!". After that, you see all the customer rushing in to get the irons and toaster. Suddenly we seemed to be surrounded by a "border" of customers.
Oh well, before I start work, the buyer came to me and said, "target for today is $3000". Early in the morning and she gave me pressure already, then the rest of the supervisors were like, "you are selling coffee machines but we dun smell coffee". So I made cups and cups of coffee. It was fun to use the espresso machines, I had a demo set at compass but was removed. I get to use the $3000 machine to make coffee, it was very cool. I made cappuccino, I thought mine was good enough but my shifu went to make another thing that made me felt so degraded.

My shifu did the latte macchiato, it was very nice. The other promoters were all amazed. Sales yesterday was still ok, did not hit the target. In the morning, I did not lookout for customers and let my competitor serve him, then my competitor sold a $1299 espresso machine. I felt like stabbing myself for that. Lucky I managed to sell one later in the afternoon though the one I sold cost only $999. Then my shifu sold another $999 machine. Our final sales is two machines. Seriously, 13 hours of work can make me die, my legs are aching like crazy. However, I will stop work for next month because of all the exams and resume at September. My mum is asking me to quit the job because I always dont have time for school work, but I dont want to quit, I really like this job.
Yesterday was also the last day I am working with edmund again. I wonder when will be the next time we will meet, maybe at the opening of another branch of best denki? Hope so and I made quite a few new friends at great world too. I shall do my accounting work now.....
