Yesterday was the second and the last day of the orientation. It was a really tiring day, there were activities lined up from morning till late evening. Firstly, in the morning we attend a talk by the course manager. We got our TP shirts, business is the same old yellow colour except the design is different. I preferred last year's design. Then the course manager talked about the life in poly and the grading system. Later, he announced the exam date, everyone was like so bored when it comes to exams. Our exams is on the first week of June. It is like one months and two weeks more to it. The grading system is kind of weird, the highest grade is not A, but is Z. Z represents distinction, followed by A, B+, B and so on. After the one hour talk, we went out for some reception then went to the classrooms to get our timetable. No wonder many people say poly is so relax. There are only two to three lessons a day. On monday, I just have to report at 12pm and school will end at 2pm. For this thurday I need not attend school because the tutorial was not for us. Friday is the day where it is most packed.
My lecture timings are the same as chester while kh and cy got the same lecture timings. Poor Aaron, he is studying different subjects with us. For the next semester then he will study what we are studying now. There is a total of 5 subjects. Then we got our matric card, like an identity card in poly. Many of the guys in my class want to leave the orientation after getting the card, but when we step out of the classroom, the synergy leaders collect the cards back. Many of the guys were very pissed off because they did not want to stay for the rest of the day. Actually aaron and wei guang wanted to leave also. In the afternoon, we got the Temasek Olympiad. Aaron, me, wg, cy, kh and chester join the stomp team. We were like the cheerleaders, using the pails, tins and come out beats like drums. We got really high because business won the overall champion for the Olympiad again, for the fourth year running. Everybody was cheering like crazy, especially those seniors.
Later, we all proceed to bedok reservior for the Temasek Regata, the dragonboating competition. We lost in the freshman round, but win in the other rounds. We cheer like mad although the space we had was so little. Aaron was there teasing wg all the way and introducing wg to girls we didn't even know. Guess what? Business was the overall champion again for the Temasek Regata. Wooooooooo! It seemed that those who came to business school are really good in sports.
Later we all went home, there was another activity in the night but we did not attend because we were really exhausted. Today is working day again, monday will be the start of school.
