I finally decided not to go for the CI course. It took me 1 whole day to make this decision. It was like so amusing, I wanted to go for the course so badly and was kind of sad when not selected in Dec last year. However, after some consideration, I gave up the chance of going for the June course. Firstly, I just wanted the rank and not the commitments the come behind it. Secondly, I don't think I have the capbility and ability to do a good job as a CI. I can only be the background staffs. Just like when I was a NCO, I also did not handle it well in terms of handling the cadets. I rarely scold people or rather none at all. Besides that as a CI you have to be a good role model for the cadets to follow and I am kind of a bad example.
I am going to continue working but only on the weekends. I just want to concentrate on my work and studies and the rest I can't be bothered. Although I will not attend the course but my passion towards np will never change, I will still help them if they need my help.
