Today is my last day working as a full timer. I reported for work at 11am, much earlier than expected, but if you think I am so hardworking, you are all wrong. I went early for work so that I can knock off earlier. I knocked off at 7pm today, when the rest were still racing against time to hit their sales target. For me, my sales target is $10,000 and my total sales was $10,200.80! For the first time, I finally hit my target. At first, before I leave, my total was just $9601.80. I just recieved a call from the europace promoter that my senior helped me sell a oven that cost $599!! Thanks to stephinie who helped to sell the oven. She used to be a delonghi promoter and used to be my teacher, now she went to panasonic, but still helped me when customers are looking for delonghi products.
Made a lot of friends within this three months being with them. Joe Yap, the philips promoter which is also the joker of the best compass point, always go around and make fun of people, being with him really brighten up your day, but he will always go around singing so loudly. There is also Chris, the braun promoter that used to tease siying everyday and taught me how to serve shavers and when I sell my products he will always say "steady arh delonghi!". Then Jing Zhi, also braun promoter that accompanied me for dinner, just one year order than me. Besides that, Angeline from novita, very active person but always got bullied by Joe. Sorry Angeline for my dehumidifiers that took up your counter space. And Leo from europace, the first time I saw him he ask me if I think I am handsome. Everytime he appeared so decent but the mind is freaking dirty but nice guy to joke up together with Edmund from Mistral. Both of them were malaysians, everyday have to come in to singapore to work and go back to johor at night. Especially Edmund, although he is 24 but appeared just like the same age as me. He is a very simple person and very commited to his work, but he will still help others if they did not have any sales. If next time I go johor, he will offer to drive me around with his car there. Next is Ming Song, the kenwood promoter, 20 years old and same school as me. He is a third year student in tp for tourism. 20 years old and he own a Proton GEN 2 already, so young have a car, so envy him. He is a great slacker, always spend his time after dinner in the arcade or you can always see girls visiting him. Not forgetting the best denki staffs especially Ann and Ah Leong. Thanks Ann for the nasi lemak, she treated everyone nasi lemak today and she heard that I want chewing gum and she went to johor to get 2 boxes of chewing gum and 3 tubes of bubble gums. Thanks Ann, of course I cannot finish all so I distributed among the promoters. She always go JB on Sunday, so always ask us what we want to buy. Then Ah Leong, he is the oldest in our department, about 50 plus years old already, but always so jovial. He really keep up to the changes, he is one that know so much about computer and billing that we youngsters don't even know. When I ask him why he know so much, he replied, "Just learn lor, can learn and better. At least I know more things". Finally, Goek Kim, the supervisor for our section. She is quite strict, every monday must do cleaning, then do something wrong will get a lecture from her. Then she will keep asking why why why why till you go speechless and quietly listen to her lecture. Overall, she is still a very good supervisor, I learn a lot from her. When I step into this line, I learnt a lot that I could not learn from books, thanks to everyone of them that added colours to my dull holiday life.
That's why I continued working at compass as a part time promoter, at least I get to spend time with them over my weekends.
Just like this, one whole chapter had finished. Tomorrow onwards, I will welcome the start of a brand new chapter, a brand new month and a brand new experience in my new school of course........
