Yesterday was really a long outing, we went out for like 12 hours and I reached home today at 12.15am. We went out to celebrate roslin's birthday and also to spend time with Aaron and Kah Hwee because they get to come out with us before going back to their camp. There was some unhappiness in between but we managed to end the outing with a good ending.
We went to plaza singapura to watch movie, before we proceed to buy the tickets, we saw one movie poster of heartbreak kid and look what zhang xiang is doing.
At first the sec4s badly want to watch warlords, but because there are some underage people with us so we could not watch. So we had two PG movie to choose from, one is chipmunks and the other is the golden compass. So we went for golden compass as it seemed to be a better film than the chipmunks. During the first hour of the show, I could conclude that I wasted 8 bucks because there is only talking and talking and talking, no fighting or excitement. Towards the second hour which is the last hour, it kind of proved my conclusion wrong, the battle scenes were fantastic, just imagine armies rushing towards each other and together with bears and also witches in the air, the whole scene was filled with people and the way it showed the war was great. One bad thing is the sound system, it was freaking loud. All the excitement are in the climax and we thought there will be more as one of the bad guys did not die, we hoped for another major fight, but the show just end without talking much on the other bad guy which was quite an important character in movie. I think there might be a golden compass 2 since there are other stuffs not explained. When the credits came out, everybody in the cinema was like scolding the screen, including us of course.
Then we came out and went wandering around the mall. The sec2s and 3s want to buy their stuffs so we went separate ways and we used this time to buy roslin's present. We went to action city and the products there were like so creative. There is a mini vaccum cleaner, interactive coin box and a giant pen. We bought the giant pen for roslin and the height of the pen was like the height of a 1.5 litre water bottle.
It was around 7pm plus when we deicde to have our dinner, but there wasn't a single place availble for us. Every single restaurant was packed with long queues, so I went around to search for one. We even went out to the opposite road to look out and time was 8.30pm and we still have not had our dinner. Many people became so freaking pissed and there is a saying "a hungry man is an angry man". So where did we end up?
KFC...
We went to KFC, at first thought of takeaway to eat outside but there were seats available so we went to take them. Then aaron, kah hwee, me and colin went to carrefour to prepare a surprise for roslin. Thanks to aaron, he is always filled with creative ideas to celebate birthday, we did one for yong hong and now for roslin and next for colin. We went to get donuts and candles. We placed the candles around one donut and passed it to roslin. She was kind of shock because we wanted to get just one dount but it ended with 8. Carrefour only sells them in packs of 4 and you know what? Buy 1 get 1 free so we ended with 8 donuts.
I wanted to go home to sleep already but all of them wanted to stay longer to have a chat, so I accompanied them because I will hardly see them anymore because my working hours is becoming longer and could not go out with them, so I stayed, at least to enjoy the moments chatting together. We then headed for a walk to orchard but all the shopping malls had closed so we took a train back home.
I really like those birthday outings because you get to plan surprises for people and I think it will be more memorable in that way. You hardly get to celebrate birthdays like that, in the public singing birthday songs with everybody looking. However, it is another form of experience.
Everybody has started working. Aaron and kah hwee is going to pursue their npcc dreams. Zhang xiang, wei guang and chin yang is going to start their job in the hotel. Felicia, yong hong , shawn and kenji start the hamper wrapping. Colin and gary going back to serve the unit. As for me, I will carry on my work in ntuc althought it may not be the most ideal work. I have to work till 11pm plus during Christmas eve, and could not celebrate with the rest, but I will countdown alone in ntuc. I think the next time I see them will be during January, so I wish everybody good luck in whatever they are doing....
