Just came back home from shawn's house yesterday. We stayed for one night as we celebrated for Christmas. Actually, we did not feel the Christmas and it looks more like a birthday celebration rather than a Christmas celebration, but we certainly had a different experience. We celebrated colin and jin jia's birthday. We headed to shawn's house where we went ahead with different entertainment. Some went to play board games, some went to have chit chat session, some went to watch tv and some people like me aaron and gary, went to watch power rangers. You may think it was very childish, but we are entertained by the show, we even went to look for the first season of power rangers and watch it. Retro time..
THE FEAST!!!
We ordered pizzas and kfc for dinner, I think scrumptious can be used to describe it. After eating, we remain at the backyard, then a incident happened that somehow damper our moods for a moment. Thanks to my itchy fingers and hands as I went to play with the lamppost, each time I shake it, the left bulb will sort of turn off. Everybody thought it was so fun and later Zhang Xiang joined in the fun, then aaron. Lastly, yong hong had the climax. He pulled the lamppost to his side, but he never knew that the whole lamppost was detached from the ground. One loud crack sound and everybody was so shocked. Shawn was freaking pissed, of course. We tried to screw it back, but the holes are broken and the only solution we had was to fix it back with superglue. We thought it was kind of useless but we tried it out. In the meantime, yong hong and aaron called home for assistance. Thanks to aaron's dad who sugessted us to use another hard material as a base to support the lamp. Luckily Shawn had some waste acrylic and we used it for the base. Colin sawed and sawed and aaron did the drilling. We were so happy that we completed it. I could sense shawn's heartbeat, must be beating very fast, we were like racing against time. When we were about to fix the base, we found out the the holes are tightly secured to the metal due to the effect of the superglue. So we tried to screw the lamppost back to the ground, and surprisingly, it worked! Everybody was so happy and fed up at the same time, because we wasted about an hour for making the extra base which became useless in the end.
FIXING THE LAMPPOST
We then went up and brought out the birthday cake for colin and jin jia. Jun hong bought the cake and the words on the cake was cool. "WIFE JIN JIA BROTHER COLIN". So we sang the bithday song and finished the cake. We took a group photo but it is in aaron's camera so have to wait for him to send us. After that we played blackjack, playing with 10cents. I was kind of lucky, I guessed, I was the greatest winner, winning $1.50. We played till we forget about the time and it was already past twelve and we did not countdown.
THE CAKE
We later sent shermeen and charmaine back home. While walking to Charmaine's home, aaron and wei guang were talking about ghost stories and the whole surroundings started to become so errie and creepy. We did not even play at the playgrounds like usual. We went to buy some food and went back to shawn's house. We watched ghost rider together, but I only watched the first 3 minutes or so. Once the tittle of the movie came out, I fell asleep. When I woke up, it was already 7plus in the morning, and wei guang gary and colin were playing maple throughout the night. I can't even stand it because I was very exhausted. When I woke up, I saw the rest still asleep so I went back for another hour of sleep.
We woke up at around 8plus and watched tv and played blackjack again. This time I won 60cents. At least winning something is better than losing.
I am so tired now and later I still have to go back for work as I start at 4pm today till 9pm. Anyway, this year we all had a very different Christmas!
