Wah! I long time no blog le. Cant blame me, I am very busy for the past few days, a chalet on last saturday and sunday, sick on monday and tuesday and test from wednesday to friday and yesterday I have the NPCC Annual Parade.
I will talk abt yesterday great experience. Yesterday was the NPCC Day Annual Parade and together with my friends, we went to Hai Sing as usual to board the bus. We have to reached Hai Sing by 12.15pm. It was quite early as the actual parade onli starts at around 5pm. So we boarded the bus and headed to the Home Team Acadamy located at Chua Chu Kang. When we reached there, it was abt 1.45pm, and we reported the classroom allocated to us. We put our stuffs, have our snacks and we headed for a dry run of the whole parade. At that time, the weather was very very hot. I was sick for past few days and I was unable to withstand the heat so I make myself as the reserve so I dun have to mach under the hot sun.
It was a good idea to much under the sun during the time around 2 - 3pm. The heat was unberable. I was sitting by the side and I can feel the heat. During the dry run, many people reported sick. I can see the red cross people, running here and there, to carry those people out. We were told to squad down when we feel unwell and the number of people squading down is too many. One guy from my contigent actually fainted and his whole body lie down flat and the hot ground. It was terrifying, when you are there, you will feeling so sad for the cadets there marching.
After the dry run, we all went back to the classroom ro rest and prepare ourselves for the actual parade. Due to too many people falling out and reporting sick, there are many empty slots. I thought that I might as well go in, it is a very good experience and somemore the weather was much cooling. So my friends and I played a game to see who will go in and it was me. So I was in for the actual parade. So at around 5.45pm, we marched into the parade ground in a very smart manner. It was dam cool and we stand there and ait for the 3 guests to arrived and after that, we recite the NPCC pledge and sang the national anthem. After that it was the march past lead by the parade commander. I felt so proud to be marching at the Home Team Acadamy parade ground. Looking at the auidence, I told myself that it was truly memorable and unforgettable. From this parade, I made alot of new friends from various schools especially from Hai Sing. This can thus increase our understanding between our NPCC unit with theirs.
