Beach Bonding Day......

Firstly, I apologize for not blogging for such a long period of time because I am just to busy to find a time to blog.

I wanted to write about yesterday. Yesterday, we were supposed to have normal NPCC trainings, but it has been changed into a outing instead, to Pasir Ris Park. The Secondary 3 cadets which includes me, are put in charged of the whole programme. The photo you see on top is a photo whereby I sort of "sabotage" the Sec 3s to do chicken dance with the cadets.

I am just standing beside, sort of mocking at them..haha..I am not that bad lah. I am just snaping some photos. Yesterday was very tiring for me. I was the coordinator for the event and from yesterday's event, I learnt a lot, especially how to be a good leader.
We met a lot of problems and this is only the first time we tried running a programme ourselves. The first problem we encounter is that the transportation came late. I went to the park before the whole unit arrived. I was shocked to hear that the bus came late. This resulted for me to cancel a game. I was quite sad at that moment, every single game planned is our hardwork but I had no choice because I need to end the event on time.

Then the second problem is that there is onli one transport, one bus and we had two buses of people, so the bus had to go for two trips. I had to think another solution for the groups to carry out the game. I briefed them about the new arrangement and set them off for their activities.

The third problem I encounter was that the second bus of people arrived 10 minutes after the first bus. So I had to think way to keep the second bus people entertained as the first bus people are still carrying out their activities. Then the big problem came. The fourth problem, the rain. The rain came just when the second bus people set off for their activities. As the coordinator, my mind suddenly went blank. The rain came too suddenly. I told all groups to move to the nearest shelter and luckily I had three other coordinators that helped out in the situation. Luckily I had them, otherwise I will not have settle the group down so quickly. I realised that it is better to work in a team than working alone.

So after that the game i carried out successfully and I am very glad. Although it is tiring to run from stations to stations, I think thst it is worth to do so. This is my fist time carrying out an event. I felt very happy and delighted when I saw the cheerful faces of the sec1 and 2 cadets. Their cheerful faces tell me that they enjoyed the event. The credit is not all mine, the credit belong to all my sec3 squadmates. Without them to carry out the different stations, this event will not be a success.

Maybe not all of them will get to see this blog entry, but I really wanna thank my sec 3 for making the event possible even though we encounter so many problems.

THANK YOU, my sec 3 squadmates!!!
